Hi Guys,
Running Chris-TV Pro 4.01 trial with Girder 3.3.4 trial on XP with A Leaktek Winfast 2000 Delux.
Thanks to the CHris-TV squad for exporting the Girder profile - that helps allot! Has anyone noted that after launching Chris-TV it disables Girder. Sometimes after the 20th time you hit a button girder does pick up a control with great difficulty.
When you exit Chris-TV all is fine again. Could this be a Girder problem?
Anone have any advice?
Regards

Just a thought here, but when I was writing the plugin for the Leadtek
TV2000 Expert card, some TV applications changed the register where
the remote codes were placed from a 24-bit register into 3 8-bit registers.
It's quite possible that this is happening with the Deluxe version of the
card as well, and the plugin isn't handling it.
I can't test it myself as I don't have the Deluxe card, but I was able to
determine this by using the RegSpy utility that is part of the DScaler
project (not the RegSpy that logs changes to your windows registry,
the one that looks at the registers of the TV tuner card!).

Hi
There is a plugin available for the Winfast card (Leadtek) posted on your website. Its working fine, I think its Girder that buggy. It often crashes violently when you double-click the icon in the tray to access it. On the odd occasion it even reboot the PC without any bluescreen error code (not excusable). There should be error handlers in place.
Good luck though - Leadtek is fast obaining the biggest market sharein TV cards.

What OS are you having problems with Girder? Most of the time, crashes like this are plugin related.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for replying, XP SP2 is what I'm using. Could well be the plugin, I gather its mostly guy writing these in their free time. Anything that looks like its working is welcome and apprechiated.
I just end-task girder and restart it when that happens - the reboots arent to cry over either. I like Girder allot.
Het werk heel knap!

reHi
bbennefeld, the Winfast delux plugin would likley work on your expert card also. Maybe you can contact the author, he'll likely share the source code. It would give you a good starting point. Maybe you can catch that elusive crash!

Yes, many of the plugs for the tv cards are done by individuals who have the hardware. There are just too many for us to support.
