Any way to move contents of one treg to another treg?

I'm trying to solve a timing issue and was hoping to move the contents of, say, treg1 into treg2.

Unfortunately, if I use 'Set Text Register' and put [treg1] into the Step box, it puts the literal '[treg1]' into the assigned text register. Any way of working around this???
