Basically, quite new to this game and Girder looks nails and like it will do the biz, but from what I have gathered so far the main functions for girder are based around recieving Ir commands and performing various windows actions.
Can someone please talk me through how I would go about doing the following...
Basically, I am fed up of titling minidisc tracks using the jog dial on my remote or on my minidisc deck. So I need to make Girder learn some Ir strings for different letters by me pointing the remote at my Ir device (a mobileaction MA 600). So each string can be saved as an individual command, then i dunno, a button in Girder clicked or something to send out the Ir command through my Ir device and over to my minidisc deck.
I have seen the Serialport driver plugin but am still very confused about how Girder displays the received Ir code. Because when I point the minidisc remote at my Ir device, the status light on the bottom right of the window flashes rapidly, and a whole load of E0 and all that flashes on the status bar next to it. How can I slow it down just to tell me the string of just one repeat of the string, rather than a repeated cycle?
Also how do I save an Ir command without having any associated windows actions?
