Hi all,

If you wake up a PC from hibernation and the PC remains 'inactive' for 5 minutes, it will fall back to sleep. Apparently, this is by design and is regardless of settings. You can read about it here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318355

What I would like to do is have girder fix this problem, ie, do something upon returning from hibernation, that will eliminate this desire to fall back to sleep. I've tried simple things like mouse moves, etc and nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Maybe the I Am Busy plugin?

Mike,

Wouldn't that prevent me from hiberanting the PC again? I just want to kill of the auto-hibernate feature. For me, activating (deactivating) a plug-in would be too much trouble. I might just as well tell the PC to reboot upon waking ... but that kind of defeats the purpose to begin with.

Ok, I see what you mean....

I still think you could enable the plugin when a resume happens and then use an alarm timer to disable the plugin after a period of time.
