Has anybody managed to use KeySelecter and WinXP?

I migrated my MP3-player from WinME to WinXP Pro and suddenly KeySelecter has gone haywire. It does not mark the character it writes, and if I try to press several times, I get "ABC1 ABC1 ABC1" and so on. Does anybody know what this can be? Also if I try to write in the beginning of a file, it'll move to the end of that file. It's almost as if it adds an "END" to the characters KeySelecter sends.

Any ideas?
