series of signals and constant signal, possible?

Is it possible to send a series of signals (buttons pressed) to the computer that ends with one constant signal, and have girder execute a command depending on the last, constant signal? is it even possible to send a constant signal (button pressed down continously) to a computer without it freaking out?
