Hello,

Ise ther a chance to have the "special" button (AUX1...4,PC,DVD,...) of ATI Remote Wonder 2 working ? With the ATI remote wonder 1 it's possible to use the Generic X10 plugins.

Why X10 don't works with ATI remote Wonder 2 ?

Thanks.

By the way, the yesterday new release of Generic X10 plugin was not correctly posted :)

The ATI 2 is not an x10 remote.

The ATI API doesn't allow you to reprogram all the keys.

But we have something in the works. We are going to need testers for that :-)

I'm ready to be a tester :)

An other thing, The installer of regular ATI Remote Wonder Plugins 1 & 2 put the atirw.dll and girder.dll and one readme.txt on the root of system drive instead of right plugins directory. After manual move all is OK.

The plugin to use all keys has not yet been released, I am waiting for a low level library to stabilize before I release this one. Hopefully soon. The plugin Mike is refering to uses the official ATI SDK, by which you do not get access to several buttons.

If you are brave I might think about handing out something. Brave means: ON YOUR OWN RISK :-)

I have been watching these forums since I acquired an ATI Remote Wonder 2 back in September. For a while the development of a plug-in had been looking promising, I hope this project has not been forgotten. You mentioned a need for testers of the new plug-in for the Remote Wonder 2. I would be happy to help in any way I can.

I have posted an attachement in this thread, did you try using this plugin?

Yea I have been using that plug-in for the past few months. It works well, but it relies on the unreliable ATI software. It would be nice to have a Girder only solution, which is what was mentioned in this thread. I would be willing to test out what you have, and would have no problem accepting the risk of doing so.

I am currently working on a TCP/IP plugin, when I am done with that I will see if I can get that RW2 plugin out.

Ron can that plugin also work with the RW1 also? I have having to have the ATI software running in the background along with Girder. Would love to use the RW1 or 2 with just girder.

Thanks also.

RW1 works great with generic X10 plugin. You don't need any ATI software for that.

I'm also interested in this new plugin to control my Remote Wonder 2, as Gilder seems to be an ideal replacement for ATI software.

Before I buy gilder, have you got an idea on how long the development process could take ?

Thanks in advance !

The RW 2 plugin is available.

Sorry, I must be blind because I can't find it in the plugin list... We are talking about the native support of RW2 in girder, not a pass through ATI software, right?

Could you please point me where I can get it ?

Thanks,
Yangui

The current plugin is passthrough via the ati software. We should have a plugin for Girder 4 that is native. I am not sure if it is ready yet, but you could PM Ron to beta test.

Thanks for the info Mike. I must say that no support for RW2 natively is a major drawback to me. Girder is at the present useless for me (and others I presume). :(

I pm'ed Ron in case he's searching for beta testers. We'll see!

Thanks again for your support.
