Remote not working in Girder? :-\

I recently purchased a Philips Universal Learning Remote, PMDVD6. My IR Receiver is for my Lite-On keyboard/mouse.

I can use the Aux function and hit buttons on the remote and it will light up the Receiver, but nothing happens in Girder. Do I need a plug-in or something? What can I do?

Hi,

Your receiver is for keyboard commands so you can catch them using Girder and the keyboard plugin... but you will have to learn commands from your keyboard to your remote.

It can be tricky to learn a keyboard IR code on a universal remote. Last I tried, the keyboard was sending 3 or 4 consecutive codes for every keystrike, which is why I quit trying to use it with my IR sensor... :(
