I'm doing this from work and don't have documentation in front of me but from what I remember ...

The powerlinc responds to the 0x02 (attention) byte with either 0x06 (ACK) or 0x15 (NAK). You could use the NAK response to retry the attention and the ACK response to send the rest of the command.

I don't remember how the preset stuff works and would need to look it up. Sorry.

I've got my Powerlinc working with Girder. I have no problem sending simple "On" and "Off" commands. It works great and I'm really exited about this. The Serial Plug-in is great.

I have two qusetions.

First, I'm using a Multigroup to send "02", then a Wait command to pause 100 ms, and then my actual command. Is this the best way to do this, or is there a more sophisticated / elegant approach?

Second, now that I have this much working, I would like to figure out how to send a preset dim command. For example, how can I tell my PSC lightswitch at X-10 address L1 to turn on to a preset dim level of 50%?

I know this is fairly technical stuff, but I'm hoping some other Powerlinc users might be able to help me out. Unfortunately the literature that came with my Powerlinc doesn't fully explain this type of command.

Thanks in advance,
James
