Hello,
When I updated WinXP to SP2, my remote stopped working with Girder. I am using IgorPlugXP v4.04.
uICE will work, so the problem is not my remote.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone else have a remote working with IgorPlug under XP SP2? If so, what was the solution if any?
Thanks.

what version of the Igor hardware do you have? (USB or Serial)?
the most recent igorplug works wrong with the serial, older versions work wrong with the USB.
I myself have no problems working any of the versions (when my USB hardware stays connected, that is...)
hoping this info is usefull.

I'm using serial hardware. It worked fine before SP2.
Do you have Windows XP Pro SP2???

I never installed service pack 2, maybe its the problem.
did you keep the SAME plugin? because there are various versions... I had to use an OLD version in order to have it working on girder.
in fact, I have 2 versions of the same plugin depending of the hardware... the USB version seams to not work with serial devices... if you have USB in your options in the plugin, you might want to install an older version.

I'm having a similar problem, except that Girder only works sometimes, and other times it doesn't. I have Girder v. 3.2, and I'm using Igor Plugin v. 1.0.1.0. My IR Reciever is plugged into a serial port. It used to work fine when I had Windows XP Pro, but I upgraded to Windows XP Pro SP2 after reformatting my hard drive and since then Girder has not been consistently working.
When I open Girder and use the remote, the number at the bottom of the window changes every time I press the same button. When it's working properly, the same code or number shows up consistently when I keep pressing the same button.
Someone please help me out.... I've been using Girder for several years without many problems so I haven't had to screw around with the settings, but now i can't get it to work consistently!!!!
Thanks,
Alex
