Newbie alert!!!

I am trying to find some discreet codes for my Sony DA80ES receiver for the sound fields. I have them working through the Slink cable but I would like to get access to them through IR instead.

I came across this webpage

http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_rcvr.htm

and was wondering how I would go about entering these codes into Netremote. (if even possible) and have my PPC play the IR and teach it to my other remote to use in a macro.

The one I am most interested is under the Sony 16; 48 device codes, Command code 9 Commands 0, 10, Dolby Surround. I think its an extended code.

Any help would be appreciated.

John

Any ideas?

Ok I found some more info.... I came across a Pronto CCF file that has some decreet codes that I would like to try. What do I need to play these out with my Axim X5's built in IR. I don't care how close I have to get to the receive to try it. Can I do this? What do I have to configure on the Axim X5 and NR? Or could I send the IR command to my Slink-e (which is currently hooked up and used by Homeseer)?

Here is the sample CCF I want to try.

You should just be able to copy the IR code from that CCF to your CCF as far as I know. As long as it it's a learned code.

John,

You have been on the forums a lot longer than I have (I have played with and used bits of your ccf) so I am sure the below is teaching you to suck eggs.

On your PDA version of netremote go to settings and the IR Plugin and under driver mode select Direct this should allow you to issue the IR from the Dell.

Cheers
Geoff

Well it looks like I was bit by the 2005 bug.... missed that thread as I was not using IR on the PPC. Thanks for your help anyways.
