Hello,
I'm new here and I'm wondering if NetRemote can be used to also control my PC (like ZoomPlayer, some frontend), X10 lights and also IR-devices like receiver and projector, AND even so that I'm not using PPC IR, but sending/triggering IR through WLAN using e.g. USB-UIRT?
Also I was not able to find list of supported Pocket PCs?

Take a look at my webpage, especially the life of a Girder user page. Anything that can be controlled by Girder can be controlled with NetRemote as the front end/GUI. If you have any questions after that, I'll do my best to answer them. (http://mastiff.now.nu)
As for supported PPCs anything with PPC2002 and Windows Mobile 2003/2003 SE should work. Some Ipaqs have a non standard Samsung processor instead of the Intel, so they don't work with direct IR, but since that's not your plan, anything should do. Many people here use the Dell range, I had an Ipaq 5450 that was working very well, and now I use the Blue Angel (a.k.a. Qtek 9090, O2 XDA III and a lot of other names), and even my old PocketLoox 600 (the first Loox) has no problems with it. The only thing you need to check is that the PPC has built in WLAN. Having a card sticking out is a pain in the posterior.

How is your xda on ir commands? I heard it is weak, its just i need it to control things all around my house so wifi alone is not up to it.

I answered that in your other thread, but basically I don't think you'll find any PDA phone that has good IR. It's not a priority amongst the manufacturers.

By "good" are you referring only to range or anything else? I have tried controlling a CD player and a TV with an o2 XDA II but the range was only good to 1 metre. Because of that I didn't bother to do any further testing but I wonder if there could be any frequency or noise compatibility issues too.

It's the range. No PDA phones will have good range, as far as I know.
