Can NR access and execute a windows program?

I am looking for a simple way that a NR button can execute a windows program or simulate a key press.

I looked at the NR plugins, NR features, and LUA ref guide and did not find a way for this to be coded. NR is running on the remote control tablet while girder is running on the HTPC. I want the action to occur on the local machine. I could install girder on the remote control PC to do this but only if that is the only way to implement the capability.

Any other options?

But aren't you up a bit late, you ng man? Hah! I had to make those NR changes before I put on a movie. Must have been 2:30 when I finally passed out. :-)

My CCF is finally fairly functional . It still looks pretty bad but it at least does most of the basics now. Thanks you and the others for the support .
