Hello

I lost my notes about the setup to allow an order to be understood on the primary but also in all the secondary program windows

For each IR learned order (example: UP, LEFT, RIGHT), I drag the Target icon to the primary program window, (example : Page 1 of a MENU)
-> after this, each order is well understood in THIS primary window :)

But my problem is : How to have all these (same) orders understood in all the secondary windows which open after the primary window ? (example: UP, LEFT, RIGHT, in Page 2 and 3 of the MENU)

Thanks for any link or help
I apologise for my bad English language....

you could try changing your targeting to use send to foreground window...

you could try changing your targeting to use send to foreground window...
Thanks !
-> "Send to foreground task" : is OK :)
but now, the IR commands are the same for all the programs which would be in foreground task (not a true problem)

I founded this solution :
In Target selector window, on the bottom right, there is "Name", "Class name" and "Executable"
These 3 cases are filled up when choosing the target program window
In the program I use (Media Portal, (htpc frent-end)), the names of the windows are all different :
Main page name : Media Portal [version number]
Radio Page name : Media Portal - my radios
Video Page name : Media Portal - my videos
and so on..

So, If I want that all the learned IR commands will be OK on the main and on all the secondary pages, I have unselected the "Name" case in the Target selector window

It's OK now but, can it be a problem ?

Thanks :)

Yes, that sounds fine. IF you are creating a media portal group, please upload it to the developer/upload link on the sites homepage.

I was adviced for a third solution: :)

Because the pages have different names , example :
Main page name : Media Portal [version number]
Radio Page name : Media Portal - my radios
Video Page name : Media Portal - my videos

-> In Girder Target selector window, I choose "Substring Matching" and I shorten the name of the window to "Media Portal" which is common to all the page names

Now , the IR orders are OK in ALL the pages. :)
