Just an Idea for the Events

How difficult would it be to automatically rename the Event to the event that you have entered by default?
On the left under general, it shows the code for the key that you have specified when using the keyboard. It would be great if just underneath that there was an indication of what key it was. For example:

22000000
g

or

2200C000
Ctrl-g

These features would be great, because it would essentially eliminate half of the work that needed to be done on a group.

Is this plausible? Or just another one of my whacky, excessive requests? :D

Automatic is tricky,be cause maybe you like your event name to be event string...

One thing though, if you start using the new event mapper you get this already, simply drag and drop the mapped event from the log window and that is it!

After talking to Mike about this we decided to implement this :-) Not exactly you suggestion but events will be renamed to reflect their contents.

I like the way you have set up the new feature. BUT... :)
I noticed that not all of the keys are covered. For instance, if I hit the numberpad enter key it says it is raw keyboard input, and the same goes for if I combine control with a key. This isn't a huge problem, but still limits the feature greatly.

Basically that keyboard mapping isn't done yet. Also not all keys will be mapped.

We are trying to come up with a subset of keys that we will include in the standard mapping. So it is a fluid process at the moment.
