Creative CMSS Control
Hi
I want to control a specific command of the Creative EAX Console. In detail I just want to turn CMSS on and off via Girder.
I know that there are some threads about sending commands to Creative Consoles but I just can't adapt the tips.
I tried to change the registry settings but creative changes nearly 50 settings in the registry if I press the "CMSS on/off" checkbox.
I tried to send a command to the EAX Console but it seems that every checkbox or tab in the EAX window has the same command. It also only works if the window is opened (front or back).
I also tried to monitor the process of changing but it is very complicated and I hope that there is a better solution.
I noticed that if I press the CMSS button on my external device (Creative SB Audigy 2 Platinum eX) the same midisys command is send an girder recieves it as if i press the button on the remote control. Maybe this helps. I just don't know how to fix this little problem. If I disable Girder and enable creatives remote control program the cmss change works. Is there a way to adapt this feature to Girder or a plugin for Girder.
Thanks for reading (and maybe helping)
Stephan

Have you ever had any directional problems with CMSS? Whenever I use it, it sometimes messes with the L/R balance. I ended up just disabling it and going with Stereo Surround.

You may be intersted in the modified plugin I made for Creative Audigy 2 NX to disable grinder from catching CMSS remote code.
This is for Creative Audigy 2 NX and Extigy via USB. I`m not sure if the Creative SB Audigy 2 Platinum eX works on the same principles.
