but i wana know what is the difference between IRDA and UIR. i asked to the store and they had none, and dident knew the difference. maybe some1 smarter will light me in this please,

IrDA is a datacommunication standard for computers, that uses its own light color (wavelength) different from remote controls that we use for the TV etc.
UIR is a infrared receiver that receives light with the typical color (wavelength) that is used with TV remotes.
So for remote control you really want UIR.
