Creative audigy ir reciever and universal remote??

i would like to use audigy's ir reciever and a universal remote with girder. is this possible??

sblive plugin uses the reciever, but you can only use the cretive remote with this plugin. so can't really use it.

hope someone can point me in the right direction.

creatives remotes work in a very different way to most remotes so i doubt the reciever will be able to pick up anything from other remotes
