    Default Firecracker,X-10, and serial ports

I use the generic serial plugin currently and Girder to send events to my Pioneer changer to load DVD's via the serial port (com 1). I want to get into X-10 lighting automation next and was wondering if I use a Firecracker device anfd the Firecracker plugin will it co-exist with the generic serial plugin using com 1. Or will I only beable to use one plugin at a time?

    This is gonna be fun

You'll need to put it on another COM port

Could you be a bit more specific. I'm a little familar with Girder but are you saying put the Pioneer changer event (generic serial plugin) on one com. and the firecracker on another? ops:

If yes then can't you only put the serial port on one com. only? Or, are you saying to connect the Firecracker to a USB to Serial cable and use the USB port to Serial connector for one and the straight Serial port for the other?

If you've only got one serial port then, yes, you'll need a USB to serial converter
