Default Possible to modify builtin Sunset & Sunrise Commands plz

    Ron,
This seems to be a little more complicated than it needs to be for those of us that would like the SunSet and Sunrise tasks with an offset. Is there anyway that you could build the offset into the built in commands? Maybe there could be a box in the UI that accepts the time in minutes for the offset with a positive or negative value? It would save a lot of people a lot of trouble. Also, to go even one step further, it would be cool if there was another option further down with two boxes for times in minutes that become active when you check off a box to "Randomly offset task between ______ and ______ minutes. This way it looks more like someone is there if you go on vacation because the light is not turning on at the same time everyday. What do you think?

I can do the offset, not the random offset. For that you'll need to bring out the Lua stuff yourself.

Thanks! That's great to hear. Will we be able to use variables as the offset like we can for the simple OSD?

    for example-
    Code:
    TV POWER [TVpower]

I have yet to get this to work. I'm not sure why, but the commands have never fired. I have set it to turn on a light at sunset and it has never turned on. Any ideas of what I should try? Thanks.

I have not noticed it in the logger, but I set up a script to change a variable from 0 to 1 at sunrise and from 1 to 0 at sundown. The variable never changes.
I will change my system clock to the appropriate time and check the logger.

    OK, I found the problem.
In the event box I had selected "Girder events", and it was supposed to be "Raw:Scheduler". I guess it's a pretty obvious mistake, but I think this should be mentioned somewhere in the manual for us slow ones.
