CM1X Usb Girder 4 problem

I think it is clear from the other posts about the usb to serial adapter (and the number of views) that the problem is definately the cm11 plugin for girder 4. So the question is will this be updated soon, and how soon, or do we have to look at the Homeseer alternative?

What version of Girder are you using?

I am not the author of this thread. But it referres to my own request and I take the liberty of answering this. I saw this behaviour (concerning the USB-adapter issue) with all available girder versions from 3.3.x at least up to 4.0.4 or 4.0.5. I didn't test the newer ones any more. But I can test it, if you think that there were relevant changes to COM port issues.

The serial code between G3 and G4 is completely rewritten. In fact, the G4 code uses a widely used commerical serial library. All G does is talk to it.

thanks for your answer. Do you see any chance to find out where the communication breaks? Maybe we can identify the troubles origin and see how to solve it. I offer to support you as a real life sample ...
