Forgive me for asking another question but I am trying to come up to speed on Girder quickly.

In Quickeys I have the possibility of assigning a keystroke to a popup menu from which I can choose various options. For instance I have a key on my keyboard called "menu" which I have programmed to display the options (tv, dvd, cd). So when I press the menu button I can then click on one of those three options to invoke that program.

Is there any way of accomplishing the same in Girder?

As you can tell I am switching from Quickeys to Girder as it looks like Girder is much more configurable (and free to boot!)

    Thanks

This would be really neat, but I don't think there's a straightforward way to handle it.

I taken a closer look at the Girder architecture and it looks like Popup Menus can be handled by an action plugin. The plugin could be configured to display a list of choices in an On Screen Display which the user could choose from with the mouse. Unfortunately I'm not a C++ programmer so I can't write this. Any takers? I'd be willing to sign up as a beta tester.

    Some ideas I have
    1) OSD should show icons and text
    2) OSD should work even when the display is an overlay or DirectShow.
