Default NetRemote loses hotkey assignments if battery changed....

I have a Dell X51v and have a bug which I have been meaning to report for a number of weeks. If I change the battery of the Dell, when I run Netremote I have to re-assign all of the hotkeys. It happens everytime without fail.

Luckily I don't swap batteries too often, but thought I'd bring this up.

    Dazzlercee,

Does your X51 "freeze" periodically? I didn't notice the hotkey issue, but have only changed my battery to get the Dell number once. Just curious if the freeze is the Dell or a setting / environmental issue.

    Cheers,

    Dave

No freezes although it does (did) have a nasty habit of switching off!

This was down to the cheap and nasty battery cover that came with my cheap and nasty high capacity battery. Any slight knock or movement of the cover would activate the battery compartment switch and make the Dell think it had been opened! This was soved with a small piece of insulation tape over the battery compartment switch.

Other than that I have no problems whatsoever with the Dell.

Is there anything else that gets "lost" when the battery gets swapped? This sounds like it's losing some of it's registry settings.

As far as I can tell Ben, it's just the hot key assignments.

If I change the battery whilst NR is running with my own CCF it still runs my CCF when I switch back on, and all the actions work etc, etc. It's just that I have to re-assign all of the hot keys.

Very strange indeed. I can try this with my device here. I'll let you know if it happens.
