    Default Best PDA

    I want to buy a new PDA only to run netremote. It will run over WIFI, so I am not concerned about IR. What is important is fast response time, clear screen and good battery life. Also it needs to look like a quality item as it will be sitting in our lounge room. What do you think is the best PDA for this purpose.

    If you are interested, I have (3) Axim x51v and (1) Axim x50v that I am looking to part ways with. If you would like 1 or more let me know. I have only used them lightly for about 5 months. I will sell them at $225 a piece.

    Firstly why are you selling, have you found a better devise? I am in Australia, I assume for your talking us$. Are you willing to post to Australia and if so how much for postage.

    I am selling them because I am going from 4 pda controls to 2 strategically located wall panels. I would consider shipping to AU, I will PM you.

    I could be interested in a unit too!

    I'm also in Australia, Mark where are you located? I'm in Sydney.

    Just one question, the Axims are 802.11b, if the rest of my network is 802.11g does everything slow down to .11b speed all the time or only while the Amin is being used with Netremote?

    In my experience, no it does not slow down the rest of the wireless network.

    I live in Melbourne. But I think it may make postage much cheaper if we had them posted to one of us and then we forwarded it to the other.

    If you want the PPC just to run NR, you should consider the size of your screen, i wouldnt trade my 640X480 for anything.
