    Default Voice recognition/Dragon/Batch files

    Hi Guys,

I have been using the XML voice recognition plugin with open air Crown PZM 11 mic's and have not had great success.

It often will not recognize phrases or will recognize phrases when no one said anything (noise causing it?)

Besides, it means training for each user etc.

I was wondering if it would be possible to setup using Dragon Naturally Speaking which supposedly has a better recognition engine? I know it doesn't support SAPI 5, but it does have the ability to fire BAT files when it recognizes a phrase.

So....is there a way to make Girder actions fire from a BAT file?

The person would speak...the Dragon program would fire the BAT file and the action would be performed.

Supposedly the recognition in HAL2000 is better, would any integration/communication between Girder and HAL be possible? I don't really want to move away from Girder/Netremote, I just want better voice recognition capabilities.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Well, you could have Dragon call a .bat file that runs event.exe from the Girder directory. See the Girder help file under Events Reference|Command line and COM event generation.

    Not sure about HAL though.
