I am finally getting a handle on getting the Girder side of things working the way that I want and am ready to start working on the frontend. I have looked in the skins area of the Promixis site for various skins and do not see anything newer the 10/06. Would it be possible to create a showcase forum that users can create a thread for their project and upload screenshots and even ccf/lua file for everyone to look at? Right now I find myself browsing the Main Lobby, Hosebot and CQC forums for ideas.

I am sure new users will find this very informative and valuable.

That has been an ongoing problem. I second the idea of a showcase section on the forum.

That would be a neat idea but you would have to be careful it get's used just to showcase peoples work e.g. NR Interfaces, Graphics, etc and doesn't become a 'how to' section because there are already places for that.

the max. jpg image size on this forum is low and my user interface is 1024x768.

I use the free jriver pix01 service to show a gallery of full-size images of my user interface

Nothing elaborate, maybe a Promixis hat or t-shirt for the winners?

Come up with a few categories like best 320x240, best design etc and have some of the grey-beards be the judges...

The only problem with that is that the vast majority of interfaces that are any good have been plagerised from lots of others. There's been a lot of in-breeding in the ccf world - which is a good thing but it's difficult to credit an interface to one particular person anymore.

I am hoping for a place where users could post captures of the various screens they haved created for others to look at. This would be a huge benefit for new users wanting to see what the software can do. Like they say "A picture is worth a thousand words." Even if elements from other CCF's have been used to create new ones, this still has benefits.

I am sure that happens with other packages such as CQC however like harleydude has said I think it would be nice to see what others have done. It would certainly give prospective users an idea as to what NR can do.

How long before this gets lost among all the requests for help? If there is a forum dedicated for it new users will be willing to look for/at it.
