Method of retrieving OSD information from DVD player to VFD?

Is there a method of taking information that is being displayed on the OSD (ie. play, stop, next chapter etc) in PowerDVD, or any other DVD player and have girder display it on an LCD/VFD?

DVDSpy doesn't work with ZoomPlayer 2.6RC2 and LCDriver 1.2 plugin doesn't work with Girder 3.2. :cry:

LCD driver should work with 3.2 at least MMcM released the plugin for Girder 3.2. About Zoomplayer and DVDSpy, I have no idea, the docs say that Zoom player is supported.

Maybe you can explain what exactly fails...

Actually, DVDSpy does work with ZPlayer 2.60 rc2. Were you sure to follow all of the installation instructions on the DVDSpy readme.html file?

LCD 1.10 works with Girder 3.2. At least as far as I can tell.

DVDSpy 1.24 works with Girder 3.2. ZoomPlayer 2.60 rc2 works, except for the ZoomPlayer.OSD event. 2.60 changed how the OSD window functions between b7 and rc1. At the same time an official LCD interface was added. Support for that had to wait for (1) rc2 (it changed between rc1 and rc2) and (2) clarification of usage terms (Blight is concerned about display to "wrapper" program windows -- Girder is now explicitly allowed but the GML must abide by his restrictions). If all goes well, DVDSpy 1.25 will use it.
