Question How do I add new codes to remote to perform Girder actions?

I recently got up and running with Girder 5 and so far so good. I also have a logitech harmony 880 universal remote which is setup to work through the original MCE usb IR receiver with the McIR plugin. My question is how do i go about adding new IR codes to the remote that can be learnt/configured to perform actions in Girder? I have already mapped all the hard/buttons on the remote to do certain things but i have essentially run out of codes to use for new actions. Is there a way to assign what code the remote uses from Girder?

    thx

I'm not 100% sure but I think the MCE receiver will only accept codes that it's original remote sends. If I understand your question correctly you already exhausted those codes. If my assumption is correct you cannot get more IR codes from that remote. However, maybe you can make some of the IR codes dependent on the state of your system. For example play can work for DVD and for CD player without needing 2 different buttons.

    Does this make sense?

A solution would be to purchase a USB-UIRT, which will receive IRcodes from 99% of the remotes out there.
