How to edit GML files.

When I load a GML file (or a saved register file) into NotePad, WordPad, WinVi etc I only get one long line of text.
Is it possible to use a standard editor to edit these files? Sometimes it would be faster to edit the files directly, rather than using Girder (sorry Ron :cry: )

I don't use any xml editors, only thing I occasionally do is check the saved file with IE. ( Just drop an .GML file onto IE to have a clean view of the file )
