    Default Transport confusion

    Ok Guys I'm trying to understand how this new transport thingy works.
    I've got connected to rotel receiver.
    I'm using tutorial 4, in transport manager it says it's connected (Port 1)
    Connected via serial.
    I started a new gml, transport actions, transport send, selected tutorial 4, entered FE 03 C5 10 4A 22 which is off for my receiver and nothing.
    Am I doing it all wrong.

    here a snippet out of the console
    PHP Code:
    C:Program FilesPromixisGirder5luascriptComponentManager.lua:228 in function <C:Program FilesPromixisGirder5luascriptComponentManager.lua:227>
    LOGRotel 1056 4  -  No response to last send
    { -- #0

    [1] = 2,
       [
    2] = "
    "
    ,
       [
    3] = 1000,
       [
    4] = function,
    } --

    Bring up the tutorial4.lua file in an text editor or whatever you are using for editing lua files.

    Change
    Code:
        OnBuildCommand = function (self, data )
            return data ..'\r'
        end,
    to
    Code:
        OnBuildCommand = function (self, data )
            return data
        end,
    Looks like your device does not want to see anything other than the command.

    Thanks
    I also change Baud to 19200 qnd that seems to have done the trick.
    Now what i would like to do is display the state in NR eg, hwther it is on or off, volume, etc.
    Can it be done and how??
    Sorry , but I really don't know anything about programming.

    Before you get moving to far on changing the tutorial4.lua file, add the following file to the Girder5\luascript\transport\devices folder. I assume that if you do a install of Girder that file will be overwritten by the installer. Don't want that to happen. Restart G and setup your Transport device with this file.

    Hopefully this will also provide us with some additional data in the lua console.

    Mark,

    A little more involved than just changing the filename. I am sure that Ron will correct me if I am wrong.

    module directive is listed towards the top of the file, the name after the last . needs to match the filename.
    Code:
    module("transport.devices.tutorial4")
    to
    Code:
    module("transport.devices.RotelRSX1056")
    Down in the Object declaration you need to change the Name and Description fields to match your driver. Nothing special about them, but the Name must be unique. The Name field is what is displayed in the Transport Manager screen next to the Add button.

    Hope that helps.

    DVD being what input and 45 being volume.
    It's basically what shows up on the receiver.

    Hi Farbs,

    Are you changing channels yet?

    because if you are there's hope for me...

    have you sorted the NR designer buttons yet...
