Girder will not read remotes
Ok, I'm new to Girder, but it shouldn't be this difficult. If I use Add input remote wizard, everything works just fine. If I use the Add Output remote wizard, nothing happens in the wizard, although I can see the little yellow indicator flash when I press the remote button. What am I doing wrong?

No one?
Considering I paid for a license for this, I don't think a little support is out of reason.

Sorry, must have missed this one.
What IR receiver/transmitter are you using?

Thank you for getting back to me Rob. I am using the Home Electronics Tira-2.

Oh dear, that's not good. We've had lots of trouble with that device. Search here for details.
I'm fairly sure that the wizard you're trying to use doesn't support that device, but Ron's really the man to answer this. He's on his way to Hawaii today though, but should be back online in the next couple of days.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I assumed since it was an USB-UIRT, it should work. Which device do you recommend?

Ah, there's some confusion here, the Tira 2 is a USB connected IR device, but it is not a USB-UIRT.
The USB-UIRT is a specific piece of hardware available from www.usbuirt.com and is the main IR device we recommend. There's also the IRTrans range from www.irtrans.com

Interesting. Those devices look very similar. I thought I had the correct device. Thanks for the information. The correct device has been ordered.
