    Hi Fireant,

To use the hollywood plus stuff you don't need the realmagic remote drivers, just download the hollywood plus driver from Girders download page. Also IrDA isn't suitable for remote control, and you don't need that for girder to use the Hollywood Plus.

What a shame ! As long as you don't have an HW+, the RealMagic remote is very easy to use with Girder.

If you have an HW+, then you'll find out that a lot of software has (very good) builtin support for the Realmagic remote (Eugene player, Remote selector ..). And doing the same operations from within Girder ( I mean controlling dvd station for instance) is not so easy (try to change current audio track for instance).

I'm myself trying to do a more complete group export for dvd station that will include such commands but that's not so easy (and of course works like a charm with bundled remote software  )

Has anyone actualy tried asking sigma about how there remote software control'a the dvd station?
Its not as though they would loose out if people didn't use there remote control software, infact, they would be gaining a more useful product if they ackowledged girder (and other rc software).
I suppose, considering their track record for software support, its not likely anything useful can be got from them.

Fireant, what lacks in current export group for dvd station is the on the fly change of subtitles and languages. This is something that works just fine with the app bundled with the remote, but something not documented (speaking of hotkeys) in the help.

Someone told me in the Sigma ng that I could use ctrl-shift-alt+<X> to do that, X being l (as in lobster) for languages and s I think for subtitles. This does not appear anywhere.

I thus managed to include those in my girder group but have to use the "Send to foreground window" rather than a targetted window and that bothers me

So dvd station is not far from being open. All I request is a more complete doc about hotkeys and may be a couple new ones, that's all.

I got a reply from techsupport, they sent me the _complete_ SDK for the hollywood plus. So i can now make my own DVDStation,.. if only i had the time  .... they also commented that i should try to send keystrokes  I replied and asked for a list of them,... to be continued.

They didn't say under what copyright it was, I already emailed them back what the copyright is.

It includes 2 doc files + a few hearders, pretty good to use API too
