Default Question on getting dvdspy to autochange ps resolution

I have been trying to use DVDspy's insert notification feature to obtain information such as aspect ratio from an inserted DVD and then change to the appropriate powerstrip setting for that disk (either an anamorphic setting for 16:9 dvd's or a 4:3 mode for fullscreen material). Dvdspy is installed properly but I cannot figure out how to associate it with the powerstrip setting. Anyone have any ideas? If anyone has a working sample gml file that does this and would share it I would be grateful. I am still learning how to get around Girder. Thank you

Check out the suggestion near the bottom of this thread.

Summary: You can make a "profile" for each mode you want to use and execute pstrip against that profile when you want to use it.

    Good luck.

I used that suggestion to enable girder to be able to change the resolution profiles that I have set in Powerstrip and it works perfectly. What I have not been able to do is to get the dvdspy plugin insert information that it obtains from the dvd to initiate the girder command. I guess my real problem is with dvdspy. Any links that might explain how to use this plugin? Anyone have any suggestions?

OK I think my problem is that I do not understand the syntax needed to write a script for a variable manipulation script that can take the payload information that dvdspy collects and use that info to drive the resolution change command that I set up in girder. What I have been trying to use so far is the following script: pld3="" in hopes that it would fill in the "" with the value of pld3 collected by dvdspy. But instead it just fills in a value of zero. Then I guess I need to some how write a script that tells girder to load my 16:9 resolution command when a 16:9 dvd is detected and pld3 value is 16:9 and load the 4:3 command when a 4:3 dvd is detected. I know that dvdspy is working properly or at least the dvd.insert.notification event because I can tell it to display the values of each payload in the OSD and it works fine but somehow cannot get it to use the payload info to run any other commands. I have tried using the included dvd insert.gml file that comes with dvdspy but the scripts do not seem to work and it also points to some unknown files (theatertek DVD 16:9.ink etc) which do not exist on my computer. Any suggestions will be appreciated, I seem to be confused.
