Default Girder 3.2.8 and WinFast 2000XP Plugin Error

Hi guys, how are we all?

I'm new to Girder, fantastic little tool, 'on ya Ron

I have a problem which I cannot rectify.

I installed version 3.2.8 off the Girder main site, then downloaded the 3.2 plugin for WinFast 2000XP. I extracted the files to the plugin directory, then copied the winfast.dll to the plugins/hardware directory, and the dtvdrv.dll, dTVdrvNT.sys, and dTVdrv95.vxd files to root girder32 directory.

When I launch Girder I receive the following error : "Old plugin found; C:\Program Files\girder32\Plugins\dtvdrv.dll , you downloaded the inccorect version please make sure that you get the Girder 3.2 compatible version of this plugin."

Once Girder is open, I can create Commands and it does read from my remote control, and SOMETIMES I can actually press the various remote buttons which will go to the corresponding command for that action. In DScaler, there is no response for the button actions.

If I wasn't bald, I'd be pulling my hair out by now, so I have resorted to alcohol

    My system specs are:
    Pentium 4 2.4GHz
    512MB RAM
    Running DScaler 4.1.5
    Running Girder 3.2.8
Leadtek WinFast TV2000XP TV Tuner Card

If anybody can help me with my problem, I'd so very much appreciate it, as I think this is a great tool, and I'd love to be able to change channels without getting out of my bed.

    Cheers.

    Ron, thanks for the reply.

The Girder setup along with plugin zip file was downloaded from the download page. Here is the link for the plugin.

    Thanks again.

I tested that plugin and it works fine. You are doing something wrong.

You say you put the plugin in the girder\plugins\hardware directory that is incorrect. Girder should not even find it there. I now see what the problem is. The dtv stuff needs to go in the girder directory and the winfast dll in the girder\plugins directory.

    Ron, thanks a million

That fixed it. Silly me had the files in the correct directory, plus a copy of them in the plugin directory. Once I deleted them, it worked fine.

Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
