controling my pc with a phillips Pronto
Hi,
I have a philips pronto ru940 an a sitecom usb irda device. I want to controle winamp, power dvd and windows mediaplayer with girder but i dont know what to do.
1)do i need a plugin??
2) what do i have to do?
I tried but i dont know what to do.
Help pls.

Sorry, IRDA is not going to work (see the FAQ)
IRDA and consumer electronics audio/video remote controls are not compatible. They have different ranges, frequencies and protocols.
Try building or buying a UIRT.

Hi
Ok i have an irman now but i dont know what to do. Is there an help file or something. I want to controle winamp, power DVD and mediaplayer.
I want to be able to start the prog. and controle it. Can some one tell me step by step what to do.
Ohh and one last thing which ir signals can i use? Can u make your own or something

Welcome to girder, its the best tool ever created for your pc!
If you are not using Prontoedit, download it, you then have 100s of device remote codes built in that you can use. The IRman should be pretty straight forward, you need to enable the plugin, in girder under file>settings, go to the plugins tab and check off the IRman plugin, then you can simply learn IR commands to your events as you create them. Get started by going through the basic setup instructions on the girder help site and the rest will fall into place as you start to work with it.
