Default How to execute a delayed girder command?

What I am trying to do is set up a command to stop a recording. Basically, I will have a girder event to start the recording and it will have a payload that will include the duration of the recording. The problem is how do I set up a command (stop recording)to be delayed the amount of the duration after the "record" event. I have looked at "alarm timer" that looks prefect but how do I get the "duration" variable into the the "timeout" slot. Whenever I try to put it there it just returns a value of 0. Thanks for your help.

Look at the "Time server" (by Slavo) or the "User Event" (by Mark) plugin.

    Thanks Ron,

Actually over the weekend I figured it out. I have an alarm timer set to 10 minutes and then use the duration input to determine how many times to execute the 10 minute timer. Works 100% of the time. There seems to be very little you cannot automate with girder.

;-) I'm having some trouble with getting Girder to do the dishes, but I'm sure I'll get that one down too.

    Ron,

It's good to see you active here again, I hope that you have finally met your deadline in SB.

Out of curiosity and none of your business is an ok answer What do YOU use Girder for...

What do you control, with what hardware and have you considered posting your production GML files...

ps. I was just north of you on vacation last month at Morro Bay. Gorgeous coastline!
