Learn Event / Fail to initialize UIR/IRMan

Hi,

Ok. I had the problem with the UIR/IRman failing to initialize. I changed a few settings 'Fast UIR Init', 'Skip UIR init check' 'Strip Zeros from UIR string', so now I am assuming the the Input device is 'enabled'. I get a green light. My problem is that when I choose the 'Learn event' and press the remote button, nothing happens. I am sure the IR Server/Com Port are working. I see the codes appear in the IR Server. I am not sure if I am supposed to run the IR server in tandem with Girlder. I have a problem running the IR server with a Winamp Plugin, but that is another topic. I tried running Girder without the IR Server, but still nothing.
I plan on developing a ATI All-In-Wonder plug-in someday.

You have 2 possibilities.

1. Run Girder without the IRserver and use the UIR plugin.

Thus completely disable the IRserver, set the correct comport and double check everything.

2. Download the IRserver plugin and disable the UIR plugin. Make sure the IRserver is running.

I found a fix.
I am using the IRMan. The UIR/IRMan plug-in doesn't seem to work for me.
I went back to the IRMan Site and got the IRServer.dll from there. http://www.evation.com/software/infraredkit.html. I unchecked the UIR/IRMan Checkbox and enabled the IRServer and now things are good.
