Does Girder Support Any RF Remotes?
I have the ATI RF Remote Control that comes with the ATI 9700 AIW video card. I did not see it in the supported hardware section, so I assume not. Just heard about Girder and was wondering if you plan to support RF remotes as well? I want to have my PC do TIVO-type recording, and the RF/PC box is not in the same room as the TV. The basic functions of Girder/LUA as I have read seem pretty useful though. Since I am new to this PC remote control stuff, sorry if this is a dumb question. It seems that to be really useful there needs to be something that does not require line-of-sight. Thanks for any info.

Dave,
Yes, the ATI remote works. It is built by X10 so you need to download the X10 plugin and extract it into the plugin directory. Then restart Girder, goto Setup/Plugins and select the X10 plugin. Besure you check off enable input devices. That should get you going. I have the ATI remote and it works great.

I use an older X10 media remote, it works. They have a new Lola remote that seems similar to the ATI.

For anyone who's interested, I see someone has come out with a similar remote which supports X10 USA and is a learning remote:
HomeTheaterComputer.Net
and without the mouse capability:
X10.COM
