Almost there with LDJ - Need a little help
Hi,
I am almost working with LDJ, but have a couple of problems.
First, I dont see the up, down and play buttons on my NetRemote Screen (it shows four blank buttons, almost as if they are sitting on top of the real buttons) I can click them and it will scroll up, down and send the play event, but i would liek to get this fixed.
Next, I have my DVD's ripped to a \DVD\Movie Name\VIDEO_TS\Video_ts.ifo etc path. I have extracted the xml file to the c:\ using dvd profiler
I get the images fine, but when I click on play (or at least the button i think is play_, it is sending the LDJ_Play_current_DVD_CHANGER event. I normally use zoomplayer. Yet I cant get it to launch Zoomplayer (it actually did this once, but I have not been able to recreate)
[edit]
okay. I moved the bottons from the bottom (the up, down and play) to the side and they are behaving as expected. (Still am curious why I see the for "standard" buttons overlayed over these custom ones)
When I click play.. the event is triggered in Girder, but zoomplayer still does not launch.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
-btw - this stuff is so cool. thanks for all the work that has been put into this!

Ok. I think I am on the right track. I removed the references to my collection.xml file, and of course, all my icons went away.
What was left was the items that were found via the search of the directories. When I clicked on play for one of these items, it tried to launch as an ISO (which it OSD "Dont know how to play ISO's yet)
For the IFO's - it launched zoomplayer correctly.
I guess my question becomes, how do I link the information contained in the collection.xml file with the actual location on the disk? This way I can use the info (like image) from the collection.xml file, yet still launch via netremote.
Am I making any sense?

Maynard,
I think your button problems are skin related - I use one of the Marantz skins - not the Pronto one. The Marantz has a larger usable area. I will probably go for a blank skin in the next version.
For the stuff in DVD Profiler, you need to specify the file locations in the notes field. A line containing:
file=c:\path\to\dvd\VIDEO_TS.IFO
will do this. If no location is found, I assume that the collection # refers to you DVD Changer ID.
As for ISO support - Joakim has given me a huge amount of help with this - I just need to reintegrate back into the code.

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for your help. Will give it a try, am confident that it will work.
The other thing I have been trying to do is to get a feedback button to work from zoomplayer.
I am a little confused as to the setup of the internet event client.
In girder, i have a multi-group. It contains an eventstring that i have tied to DVDSpy - to display status.
I added a command to the MG, which uses the IEC.
In the IEC Setup i have:
For the server, I have the the IP for my HTPC, PORT 1024, with the password, and the IR name TEST.2 for the event, and [pld1] for the payload
On the CCF, I have one button, with IR NAME TEST.2 and 5001 0000 0000 0002 ffff 0000 0002 0000
for the data.
Yet, I dont see anything on Netremote in that button.
I changed it from IEC to OSD and it poped the status change, so I know that part is working right.
Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks again for a great program!

Gavin,
Well, tried adding the path to the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in the notes field. As soon as I do this and reexport the collection.xml file, the entry on my list in netremote dissapears.
All of my DVDs have been ripped and then processed with IFOEdit. I strip out all of the crap I dont want, and set the default audio stream to either DD or DTS or whatever. Do you do anything spectial with these IFO's that woulc cause this behavior?

Maynard,
The fact that the entry dissapeared after adding the "file=" suggests to me that the parser found the entry - but something else went wrong. Do you still have a video_ts.ifo after stripping?
I'll be writing a feedback walk-thru over the next few days, so maybe that'll help you with the other problem.
Cheers,
Gavin

Are their any instructions/directions for setting up LDJ? I've looked at the Readme, which seems to assume you've already set it up. I've scanned through the threads here, but again, they all seem to assume you've got it running already. Did I miss a file somewhere?
I have NetRemote working. I have Girder working. I imported the Girder group and loaded the LDJ CCF. I changed the LDJ Initialize script so LDJ_dirs = D:\\Video (where my ISO images are stored). Netremote is sending commands to Girder (Girder shows them being received), but I get no feedback in Netremote, just shows LDJ_DVD_Title. I also exported collection.xml from DVD Profiler and set that path in Girder, still nothing. Help!

jpfieber,
Welcome to the forum!
I assume you have seen Z.Mash's great documentation: http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze...ote/index.html
The current feedback, used by LDJ, is a bit unstable. Try exiting both Girder and NetRemote (make sure Girder has really shut down - not just in the button bar). Then restart Girder. Select the LDJ/Internal/Intialise function and view the script code. Then start NetRemote.
Debugging information should appear in the botton frame of the script window. Scroll down to the bottom and check if there are any obvious problems (syntax errors, etc).
One other thing is ISO support is not in the current version - I have lots of information and code from Joakim that I need to add in. Also with the release of the new NetRemote, I will have a redesigned LDJ available - this should hopefully be a lot simpler to get working.
Cheers, Gavin
