I might have a fix for my problem with the Igor-device (hickups in sound), and it involves putting another pc (I've got an old Pentium 133) next to the server and plug the IR receiver on that one. But I don't suppose the TCP/IP client and server works fast enough to simulate mouse movements goo enough, right? So what can I use to connect them directly to each other? Is that possible in some way via the serial plug-in?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Yeah the tcpip plugin would be too slow.

I think its is possible with the serial plugin at least I remember something like this popping up before on this forum.

I've got a temporary fix now (well, it may even turn out to be usable in the long run):
When the remote pc starts up, it launches Remote Administrator with the MP3-server in full screen control mode, and then all mouse movements are transfered via RA. It actually works pretty good! And even better: I can have the remote pc hidden in a cupboard, totally out of the way, and use my remote extender (RF transmission of IR codes). So, as we say in Norway: "In times of need the devil eats flies."

But if anybody has the protocol or whatever for controlling the pc directly via serial plug-in, I'm still interested. One link out of the way (RA) will probably make it easier and more stable.
