Default Windows XP SP2 small problem found

I recenlty upgraded to SP2 for Xp and find that my functions to turn my monitor off have stoped working. I've tried to find info on this to no avail. Anybody have ideas here? It's a small function I've grown rather used to using and drastically miss it

Might be because MS put some kind of security on it. Has anyone seen information about this?

Me to. It's an evil plot by Micro$oft's legal team to force everybody to listen to only DRM controlled WMA!

Exactly which functions where you using? The built in or a plugin?

I'm using the builtin I think, though to be honest I'm faily new to Girder so I'm not sure.

Everything else seems to work fine, volume control, Winamp control etc. Not a single problem with anything else but the monitor blanking. Wouldn't be a problem, except I use a laptop and don't have a way to simply shut off the monitor when not needed, or at night.

Try the monitor plugin, maybe that works.

Hmm, I guess I was using the monitor plugin, now to figure out how to do it without that plugin, via the builtin monitor off function.

Well, I played with the internal one a bit, but can't get that one to send either ?? maybe doing something horribly wrong all of a sudden?

Download the lua windows function plugin. Look at the included gml as it has a command to turn off the monitor.

Well, I got it, finally.... such a simple thing LOL ! I'm using the internal monitor off, just had to tweak and play a bit, works great now. Still not sure what happened to the monitor plugin I was using but oh well, at least I have it back.
