Default NR PRO configuration problems

Hi all,

I installed NR PRO and found out that the CCF that I am using is not behaving the way it should. I use a modified JLee CFF and I have the following issue:

When I go and list all albums or tracks in JRMC, I get the list fine but if I have less then what the screen can hold, I get empty entries with the default NR cover. When I click on one, NR Crash.

I also loaded the original Opus (JLee) CCF and I get the same behavior.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tal

This is a fault in the CCF. I'm not at home right now so I can't give you the exact details but you need to look in Tonto on some of the buttons or frames in this panel for an IMG tag that includes the words 'Loop Index' and 'disabled'.

Copy that IMG tag to the frame that holds the covers and the buttons. This frame is a bit tricky to find so do this: Click the centre of the panel to select the large frame that holds the list then Control Tab and it should take you to the frame I mean. Now Control P for properties where you can paste in the IMG tag.

JLee,

Thanks for the reply but I am a bit confused. Where do I put the disable tag? in the button that holds the cover or the frame that has the <LOOP,1,8,0,0>? The olny place I could find a disable and loopindex together was in the button with at command like this one: STATE:MP.GACDisabled_<LoopIndex>

I tried to put this command in the cover button but then again it does not show the covers at all. I am at lost here and I am sure that it is something very easy that I am missing.

Thanks for all the help.

I was trying off memory but I can give you the correct answer now:

Click in the big frame in the middle of the panel then Control Tab to get you to the frame in question. Then Control P to bring up properties. Put this in the name field:
Code:
STATE:MP.GACDisabled_<LoopIndex>:0:1
.

The frame you are entering this code into is the one that contains the Cover, track text and play buttons and it's difficult to select without doing the above.

Thanks JLee, that did the trick.

I have one more question, what is the :0:1 at the end of the MP.GACDisabled? is that to set up the state of visualable or not?

Thanks again,

Tal

You're spot on.

The first value (:0) means if the value is 0, the state is "on" (any other value would be "off").

The 2nd value means if the state is "off", don't show the other state, hide the button.

Here's my latest CCF which includes some subtle changes to the GAC panels. Details are in the readme.

I'm hoping to have a broadband connection soon so my next project will be to steal some of Dan's great work on the weather pages.

JLee,

FYI, you can include you .jmd file with the ZIP and people can simply copy that into their media center library directory. MC will then use that view scheme. It will not overwrite the library (so I am told....)

The problem with that is that it will overwrite all other view schemes that may have been set up and replace them with mine. However, it's probably a good idea to make a browser.jmd from the default library and include that just to give people an example of how to set the view schemes up.
