Hi all,

I'm looking for a specific Hardware, can you help me to find the good one?

I'd like to switch on my PC with my universal remote controller ( a kameleon).

Moreover, i can tell you that i can start my PC with my keyboard (configurable in my bios).
How can i do the same with my kameleon???

My Wish is to control all electronic stuff at home, and also my pc (switch on / off, and after control it with girder!!!!)with a unique remote controller.

Cordially;

Matthieu.

I would guess that your keyboard is most likely USB and your BIOS is "wake up on USB" active.

as far as waking up with remote control... it depends of the hardware you have.
so far, from my knowledge, the only remote control equipment that does wake up the PC is the UIRT/2.

others might have more info on that.

hope it helps

yeah, my bios is wake up on usb, no matter with that, but,

How UIRT will understand (when my pc is turned off) that my universal remote controller send to him the good value i choose in the Bios to wake on????

Can you explain it to me ?

the UIRT/2 is pluged on WOL (wake on lan) and you program it so that while the PC is off, the device (being powered by WOL) still read IR, and the programmed button triggers the WOL turn on function.

I don't know if any USB machine would work...
