I was wondering if anyone knows of a cheap Infrared reciever that turns appliances on and off (all the ones I've seen online work on Radio Waves, not infrared).

I've been searching everywhere and I can't find one. Help.....

Surely, people that play with girder must have bought a Infrared Device to turn on and off their appliances.

Okay I guess I found a solution, the hardware looks old and tackey, but it will work

It converts Infrared to x10 signals.

I have one of these and it works well. I had a pronto to turn the lamps on and off but one too many drops from the sofa and the screen has given out.
