I built two UIRT2 devices. They work! I also added the "LC" filter to the 5v line on the receiver. There is *no* output with the "IR debug" test.

I have a problem with Sony remotes though. When I use my sony DVD remote I always receive a different code for the same button press and there are overlaps in codes. In other words pressing "1" repeatedly will eventually emit a code that "play" maps to.

Interestingly toshiba remotes or NEC remotes do not exhibit this behavior. So I used these as a work around.

Is there something special about Sony remote codes, or could it be the UIRT2?

Thanks!

I too am having this problem, and I see the date of this post is many moons ago. Did someone come up with a solution for this? I am baffled, I don't know where to go from here. Can someone give me a clue? Tried all the "rc" places in the post and the remotecentral, but no hex codes I can use directly. all are pcf or ccf files, and I don't know how to use those.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Using girder 5 and usbuirt, the newest version for december 2008. Not using netremote.
