currently, you would use netremote to trigger an event in girder that is linked to the action you want Girder to execute.

I understand I have to use "send event to girder" from netremote, but how do I find what to call thath event, and how does Girder pick it up?

You can select the event name.

ie. KitchenLight:On

attach it to your action, send this from netremote.
