View Full Version : "hide when false" on non-numeric values

February 1st, 2006, 03:33 PM
On my zoom player page i would like to have 2 different sets of information displayed, depending if I'm in Media or DVD mode.
I have the frames set up and working "fine", but i can't link them to ZP.Mode.
As a test, i set the condition to Playstatenum 2 and 3 on the different frames and the frames swapped as i thought they should.
But when i try to put "DVD" and "Media" in as values for ZP.Mode both frames show up at all times.
I've tried with and without quotes, and my capitalization is correct.
What am i missing??????

With the current production release of NetRemote, you can only use #'s for state, unless you wish to use Lua.

There are two options for you, both involve Lua.

1. Use RegisterVariableWatch for the the variable, and then set a numeric variable when it changes.

2. Use Lua for state. To do this, choose "Lua" instead of a variable name in the dropdown box, and then click the "Edit Lua" button.

The code should be something like:

return (NetRemote.GetVariable('ZP.Mode') == 'DVD')
