View Full Version : Temps problems with USB UIRT

Hi!

I recently bought an USB UIRT.
Everything works fine with it (it's a really good accessory for barebones) but something smells bad with it. If I enable its girder plugin, temps raise from 48 to 67 degrees (celsius, of course) but, mysteriously, CPU usage is always between 0-15% (just PCAlert and a few processes running).
Have anybody suffered the same handicap? Can this be dued to the power supply, reaching its limits after pluging the USB UIRT? (When I plug it in, temps don`t change. That only happens after enabling its girder plugin)

Thanx in advance.

Any ideas?

I tried with other USB devices and they doesn't alter temps.

I've not noticed this here - you may want to ask on the USB-UIRT forums where Jon Rhees hangs out (he created the USB-UIRT and wrote the Girder driver).
