View Full Version : Using LUA to send Internet Events to other Girders

I am trying to send ieventc data to another install of girder.

The basic deal is I am trying to pass data from a central Girder machine to any number of other Girder hosts using a script on the master to parse the hostname of the endpoint host from the incoiming command and then re-direct back out to that host using the ieventc plugin. Unfortunately the ieventc plugin is not accepting / passing payload information from the master event trigger in either the hostname or in the event fields of the ieventc plugin. It will pass incoming payload data out on the payload line, but that will not help me much in this case. I was hoping there was a way I can do this inside LUA?? Which is to say invoke the ieventc client from inside the script where it will pass whatever variables I desire wherever I want...

Any ideas?

directly from lua? no. But going through the command line ieventc might work.

Thanks for the reply.

I will just trigger a Girder event, that will in turn trigger an IEC.
