Is there any such thing as sending out ir signals via wifi to an rf to ir devce as yet or even directly wifi to ir transmitter directly as yet
That would indeed be a true wireless connection then
I have an rf to irtransmitter receiver and would love to connect them all wirelessly as I have a jungle of wires already and just don't want any morewires to uglify my desktop

there are a couple of tcp/ip devices that take a wifi signal and convert to ir. ie. the globalcache or irtrans. NetRemote and G4 support them.

I went to the globalcache website and have no idea what I would need.Theyre not very helpful
So what unit will be able to sent the wifi signal from the computer and convert and send the ir signal out bive me a model number or exact webpage first

The GC106 will do it. You can send IR directly from NetRemote to it.

We sell them here.
